I did additional tests, and with the original vista 64 drivers the wheel turns off the spring force (to return to the center) correctly and the forces on LFS are correctly applied, although not adjustable under windows control panel. SWF files are mainly used with Microsoft Side.

I'd like to note that a friend of mine had the wheel and control center 4.0 working in Win 7 64-bit previously but during the past few months some Win 7 update has made the properties sheet crash on his system too. The wheel works with the Win 7 stock HID-driver and control center 4.0 installs ok in WinXP SP 2. My Sidewinder FF Wheel is partly operational under Win 7 64-bit.
